Ethereum mining rig no gpus

Wanting to build a gpu mining rig. I have like 700 for the rig (no gpus). I have 2 1080s already. I will also be using nicehash. Would prefer to be able to use up to 6 gpus. The cheaper the better. Thanks

i saw but i have no interest in assisting at the moment

would appreciate if i wasnt pinged in every mining thread

as for OP, as long as it has PCIE slots that can be configured to be gen 1, it'll work just fine

find a board, then find cpu and ram, then find psu

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Pick a cpu that is modern but not too powerful (opt for a good motherboard with several pcie slots + buy some risers) as you want these main components to be as power efficient as possible

Also go for an open air case for the best temps and a psu that is capable of handling multiple cards at high loads as you'll be overclocking them.

Lastly don't forget to repaste the two cards before building, Pascal is already several years old and you will want new paste for constant high loads.

So from my understanding, you're trying to build a mining rig without buying any additional components/materials? That's gonna be hard.
