Well, if you dont get a physical disk. you're only renting the games.
If they decide you cant play them anymore, you're screwed like this.
And since Disney is the worst regarding to going after anyone that uses their supposed intellectual rights.

 

Their games are really really spotty in playability. Dont fall for their scam!

I can't even if I wanted to, since it is not available. It was a really nice game for my child to play. Now, two children later we cannot play it anymore :(.

Are you logged into your Microsoft account? Also, you're clearly accessing the store from a mobile phone, try it from your PC logged in with your Microsoft account. Usually, if a game gets pulled from an online storefront, people who've bought it are still able to download it if they've purchased it, regardless of the fact that it's not for sale anymore. I own games that have been pulled from Steam but I can still download them because Steam honors the purchase agreement.

You can get it to run on win 10. Unfortunately you can't get the season pass on win 10, so if you need the season pass, and you installed a vm with 8.1, you're halfway there. The big problem with vms however, is that they are slow. So to get the full game running on native hardware (win 10) here is what you do:
(If you already bought it back in the day and only want to get it running on win 10, skip to step 3)

1.) Install a vm. You will be using it to buy the game. I'd recommend keeping the vm installed though as it will give you access to the windows 8.1 store, which has stuff on it the win 10 store doesn't. Like this.
2.) Run it on the vm. Just boot it up and "buy" the season pass. It's free. It throws an error if you try to buy it on win 10 for some reason. But I just got it now (2/19/2021) so it is still available. Now you are done with the vm.
3.) Go to https://store.rg-adguard.net/ (this is a server crawler that will allow you to manually download files on microsoft servers). You still need a license to play them, though. That's why you bought it on the vm. Trying to run a game you didn't buy will only result in a crash. This is not for piracy.
4.) In the search bar, put in the url or product ID (either https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/disney-fairies-hidden-trea... or just 9wzdncrfj9wx. If you are using the product ID, change the left dropdown to "ProductId". Change the right dropdown to "Retail".
5.) Download "Microsoft.DisneyFairies_1.5.0.44911_x86__8wekyb3d8bbwe.appx"
6.) Make sure your copy of windows 10 can handle .appx bundles. For it to do this, it needs to be in developer mode.
I.) Use the shortcut "Windows-I" to open Windows Settings.
II.) Go to "Update & Security".
III.) Go to "For Developers"
IV.) Select "Developer Mode" and let it download everything it needs to. If it asks you to restart, do it.
7.) Run the .appx. Now you are done. When you boot it up, it will detect you have the season pass and let you enjoy the full game without the lag and hassle of using a vm.

 

The only thing that I can add is that for Windows 10 I also needed to isntall the x86 (not x64) VCLibs Microsoft.VCLibs.110.00_11.0.51106.1_x86__8wekyb3d8bbwe.Appx from the step 4.

How did you manage this extraordinary achievement?
Making text really big, but also not have it cut of at end of sentence?

I have 24 inches of screen and i cant even read the sentence...

I purchased the game when I was using Windows RT tablet "back in the day", so I did not have to purchase it this time. I downloaded, installed it, and then logged in with my credentials that was able to pick up the license.

 

A couple of days after it actually stopped working and would hang on the "waiting" for sync from the server when the game was starting. I might give it another try at some point.

 

I also realized that playing it with the mouse is not as fun as playing it with touch on the Windows RT tablet.

So there is no way that I can't play this game if I don't buy it at the time? I would really give everything to be able to play it, if the game existed I would buy it but it is not the case, too bad, I would really give everything to play it
