The best block for Asus TUF 3080 Ti

I'm looking for a water block for ASUS TUF 3080 TI.

At the moment, my leading choice is EKWB, but there are other options (BitsPower, Aquacomputer, etc.). Are there any pros and cons to any maker?

An additional question about thermal pads from EKWB, are they good enough, or should I buy something better straight away. If so, which thermal pad should I buy?

I would get EKWB because they are really good quality and looks great. Thermal pads from EK is also very good. I know they used to use 3M. I don't know if thats the case anymore. From the specs they look like they are, when comparing to https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/b5005035145/. Thermal Grizzly Minus Pad 8 is better but idk if that would make a big difference in the real world.

fujipoly is probably the best thermal pads out there, but it's way expensive

I say stay with your stock waterblock pads 1st & see if your vrm/vram temps

Is there anything in between stock EKWB pads and Fujipoly?

quite a few actually, fujipoly is on the top in terms of thermals conductivity

  • thermal grizzly
  • alphacool
  • thermalright
  • arctic

The EKWB pads have a thermal conductivity of 3.5 W/mK.

It just happens that I have a sheet of Arctic pad lying in the shelve, which has a thermal conductivity of 6.0 W/mK.

So it's a no-brainer that I will use the Arctics.

Thanks for the advice.
