3080 Screen flickering randomly

i got a 144hz 1440p g-sync c display and the top half of the display flickers red and white randomly 

Main:

  • CPU
    10700k 5ghz All core 47 ring ratio 1.275v
  • Motherboard
    MSI Z590 A Pro
  • RAM
    4x8 viper steel samsung bdie: 4200-17-17-30
  • GPU
    Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming Oc
  • Case
    O11 air mini
  • Storage
    970 Evo Plus 500gb OS, Sn550 1tb, 860 evo 500gb, 2tb MX500
  • PSU
    RM750x (2018)
  • Display(s)
    Acer Nitro vg272up, Kogan 24 1080 120hz
  • Cooling
    arctic 280aio, EK M.2 NVMe Heatsink on 970 evo plus
     
    Second: 
    Cpu: i5-8400
    Cooling: ID-Cooling Frostflow 120x
    Ram: 2x8gb 2666 c16 hyperx fury, tuned the absolute balls out of it but def not stehble.
    Mobo: Asus Prime H310M-K
    Gpu: Igpu

red and black i meant not white

It could also be the display itself or the display cable you are using. Try a different cable, if it still does it with a new cable then test the computer on an entirely different display. If it does it on another display entirely then you know it is 100% the card.

Have you updated all drivers for the card? You can try uninstalling and fresh installing the display drivers. You uninstall them with DDU and reinstall them using Geforce Experience. If none of this works, as in it's definitely the card and the driver reinstall didn't fix it you're most likely looking at a hardware problem and the card will need to be replaced.

Ive only seen it flicker on the main monitor/ display port monitor and ppl say its to do with dp, everything is updated did ddu 3 times but for other reasons before,im on the latest driver

try a different cable and port, and does it happen on a lower power limit? or just load?

Ive only seen it at idle but do more testing

it could possibly be my monitor its an acer vg272up and ppl say they had problems but it was on any card but ive only seen it do black and little bit of red on top half of screen few days ago is it likely that its a gpu driver 496.13? ive tried display port 1.2 from monitor menu and is still there,dp 1.1 made it f up and had to restart pc might of been unstable cpu oc but other than that i have no idea

hey man did u figure out the problem? Also have a 3080 and an acer monitor and am having the same issue except it flashes black.

yeah the issue was the driver 496.13, i ddu'd it and chose 471.96 and ill wait until a new driver comes out
