What about the Gigabyte M27Q ($300)? It's reviewed pretty well in its price range.

It's entirely possible that I misinterpreted/misread your topic and/or question. This happens more often than I care to admit. Apologies in advance.

Only good things to say about my LG 27GL83-AB after a year of use.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Seems like I would like any of those choices.

Skii, thanks for the input on the 850-B!

CT, Thanks for the gigabyte suggestion!

Maybe look into 32" LG 32GN650-B? Goes up to 165hz and also supports G-Sync even tho it's not listed.

I think 32 is just a little too big for me. I'm at 24 right now, 27 I think is the sweet spot. Thanks!

The best options are probably:

Dell S2721DGF - uses LG Nano IPS panel, and often have discounts on Dell.com, Dell warranty is pretty good for monitors.

LG GL850-B

MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD - This is slightly above $400.

Gigabyte M27Q - Probably the cheapest of the mentioned, but is BGR which might cause issues with text, particularly when using together with RGB monitors.

Acer Nitro XV272U KVbmiiprzx - Also slightly above $400. And the naming is awful, why couldn't they just change the first part of the name to make new models over keeping it the same for multiple different monitors is beyond me.

The best of the listed are either the MSI or Acer, but they are also the most expensive options. Dell and LG perform similarly, with each having some advantages over the other, overall the Dell should be better due to the higher refresh and better stand even if it usually have worse factory calibration and lack SRGB clamp.

I personally owned the Gigabyte and currently the Dell. I ended up returning the Gigabyte due to some dead pixels, but it had good out of the box colors, no issues with response times. The Dell have horrible colors out of the box(have a pretty extreme green tint), but that can be mostly solved with OSD tweaks and Dell's own ICC profile(which can be found in the monitor driver in their site) or with others ICC profiles from reviewers, like on the Gigabyte no issues on the response times, it is technically faster than the Gigabyte, but I couldn't notice any difference.

Important to note that this is my experience and color calibration can change from one unit to another, as example the Gigabyte M27Q had great out of the box calibration on the Rtings review but bad at the HUB one.

Check for reviews on HUB, TFTCentral and Rtings, also this recent video from HUB:

best one if you can find one for 400 is the msi mag27qrf-qd, it's better than the LG nano panels, The LG models were good for 2019 but i'd only pick them up for 300usd, they went as low as 275usd, would not get the asus and acer models you listed over the LG and msi models, the M27Q should be 50usd under the LG panels.

Sorry for hijacking op's question but just wanted to ask you if you'd recommend the Odyssey G7 for $450?

I would not recommend the G7 for any budget. It's still plagued with issues like it was back at launch.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

the g7 is a gamble, there are units that works and the specs are great for its price, i would not buy one expecting it to work flawlessly at 240hz nor online in case theres a need for returns.
