Decent CPU, but still stuttering on games while doing something else

I am using a decent enough CPU, with 2 monitors, sometimes when I game on 1 monitor and something is being run on the other monitor, the game stutters, although CPU load is not high 

 

Could it be because I am using a single NVME for everything? You think getting a simple 250GB SSD(even sata) for OS+simple programs can solve it?

What game? A 3200g is not at all a good gaming cpu for AAA games release in the last 4 years.

I would say bare minimum cpu for modern gaming, paired with the bare minimum amount of ram for modern gaming and presumably using iGPU doesnt really make a high end PC. Your issue might be anything, there is no proper testing here to go on.

While gaming open task manager on the second screen and see what is being maxed out and thus causing the stuttering. 3200G paired with 8GB of memory isn't exactly high-end so you can't expect it to perform as if it were. 

 

Another thing to note is the Windows install. Have reinstalled Windows recently? Are you reusing an old Windows image from anther computer?

Might be the ram, 8gb is barely enough these days.

Also it might be the ssd, since it is quite fast the pc can struggle to handle the speed.

What's that?

Lasso can tell Apps to NOT use specific cores.

So you can limit the exposure of an app on the cores used for gaming.
