Lian-Li 750W SFX 80Gold or Corsair 750W SFX 80Platinum For 3070

TrickEgo

Hello,

I currently have a Corsair SF600 Platinum and just got a GIGABYTE - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 from newegg. I was wondering if I need to get a new PSU. I have a ITX cause so it only fits SFX. I have a 3900x, EK 240 AIO and Gigabyte X570 AORUS PRO WIFI.

Was wonder which one is better between Lian Li 750 gold or is it worth the money to get the corsair 750 platinum?

im not a PSU buff but im pretty sure the only thing that platinum will save you is your power bill. How much? I can imagine maybe a few bucks a year

I'd go corsair all the way, though I haven't checked any reviews on the other PSU, so I am not entirely sure.

Not even a few bucks if you live in a developing country like Mexico, though.

Here we pay $0.05 cents/kWh 😝🙃

you dont need to get a new PSU.

if you want to get a new PSU for some reason. the SF750 would be the best choice as far as SFX PSUs go, as far as im aware.

SF600 should be fine for RTX3070, and i would avoid Lian-Li SP for the time being, it's a fairly small OEM, with it seems like, little experience in SFX units. And although it did pass Aris testing just fine, personally i'm still sceptical about it.
