Heatpipes to Water cooling tubes and heat

How does heatpipes compare to AIO's and other water cooling methods?

How they do in transfering or pushing the heat out like metal fins etc.

 

Also if one were able to put heatpipes together with a radiator under vaccum, if that would make sense or not?

And if we are not talking about watercooled CPU/GPU dies

Theres a lot of different types of heat-pipes. (Mostly depending on internal heat transfer).

Like everything it comes with downsides as well upsides.

Heatpipes are limited in their working distances and scale, although they work against gravity. Heat siphons are the next step up, and largely are the same, but cannot work against gravity. Transfering heat from the heatpipes to the fins rely on classical thermal conductivity.
