Cases with optical drive slot.

Hi all, hope everyone is well ,

 

Just a quick one, I'm in the initial stages of planning a build but finding it hard finding cases, good looking cases with optical drive slots, I still use physical media so an internal drive is needed. 

 

Yes I'm old hahaha 

 

My current rig is over what? 11yrs old now I think hahaha 

 

I might scrub through the build vids and see if there is one in them.

You could take a look at the Corsair Carbide 200R. 

It's cheap, but it also look at bid bland, but that might not be a bad thing.

Just to plant the thought in your head, but you don't need to have an internally mounted optical dive. There are plenty of elegant minimalistic external drives on the market. Just plug it in to your usb 3 hub when you need to use it. And put it away when you don't.

 

That should open more possibilities for you. 

 

I just made my first computer without optical drive this past winter. I'm so glad I did too.

i used an external drives as i had 4 120mm in front on my antec 1200 case. and finally got and os usb stick SO MUCH FASTER.....

No other specifications, cooler requirements? ATX, Micro ATX? There are still cases out there with optical bays. I know I had a bit of a limited selection as I wanted a glass side panel, one that would clear a NH-D15, and still had an optical bay, but was able to find a case.
