m.2 Which "External M.2 Slot" should you buy?

Hey I'm currently looking to buy an External M.2 Slot to reuse my old ss.
But there is a slight problem, I don't really know what to lookout for (in terms of specs or quality).
 

If you know pros and cons, or if it doesn't really matter wich one I buy feel free to tell me.

yeah I think USB.
and this is my old SSD:
XPG 480GB 3D NAND NVMe Gen3x4 M.2 2280 Solid State Drive (AGAMMIXS11-480GT-C)

afaik for nvme ssd you need a thunderbolt or usb 10gbps and above on the enclosure and the device that connected to it

Here it's gotten really easy to sell used stuff

And that ssd certainly has value

You don't? Yeah sure on usb it will probably be a bit slower but totally fine.

it probably could and absolutely totally fine, but as far as i know a "basic" m.2 ssd enclosure out there that use 5gbps usb only support m.2 sata, while the one that support nvme ssd is using tb3/tb4 and like i said usb 10gbps and above, theres probably some that use lower speed but tbh never seen any myself

This one is just usb and will work fine on usb 1.1 probably as long as there is enough power given.

 

A nvme drive functions at whatever speed it is given from their connection. All they need is enough power to function.
