Pentium D Extreme Edition 965 Review

Boom. 3.80GHz @ 1.5V

About as high as I'm probably gonna get without better RAM and water cooling. This speed is only stable enough for a CPU-Z screenshot

Damn good chip, I gotta say. I can't get past 3GHZ on stock. Will I need to increase my voltage? I think I didn't win the silicon lottery.

You'll definitely have to up your voltage. What motherboard do you have?

 

Just read your signature. I don't really know much about your board, but assuming your stock is 1.275V, I'd say you could go up to 1.3V without much issue and get a bit higher. 1.4V for a while maybe.

Yeah, pretty much. I wouldn't go anywhere near 1.6V with that board, or even 1.5V.
