Looking for 1TB SSD

Im looking for a 1TB SSD and i well im kinda going back and forth between a bunch, then i say PCI SSDS and went whoa, i want those (Only if under like $600) and then i saw an MSATA drive and went WHOA, my motherboard has one of those... I could have no cables at all!!!!

 

 

Basically whats your recommendation for a 1TB SSD preferably under $500 "Or so"

samsung evo ones good imo

I would recommend the 1TB Samsung EVO MSATA it's on sale on Amazon for $524.

Why would you go MSATA over regular SATA?

They're not as good as a regular SATA drive.

 

I'd go with the EVO 2.5" 1tb drive. If you can wait a couple months the Kingston Predator SSD might be worth waiting for.

I would personally Raid 0 two Samsung Evo 500GB cards too improve speeds.

Also, Msata are exactly the same as a SATA drive.

Why not Raid 0 2 500GB SSDs? Higher speeds are always good.

RAID 0 Is not reccomended for daily use , besides after a month or so performance starts to take a hit and speeds tend to decrease pretty fast. Also He won't notice any difference in speed whatsoever , the days when RAID 0 was ''really'' faster are gone.

Why would my approx. speed be with two 500GB Samsung 840 EVO's

the double of the speed you'd get with one 500gb ssd

look on youtube for a few 500gb 840 evo ssd reviews and double the numbers you see in the benchmarks

just get m500 or EVO, whatever is cheaper. Also, buy normal 2.5" version, not msata. It's cheaper and in most cases faster. And you can use it in your next build, because sata is on every motherboard, while msata not so much.
