Laptop won't turn on

I tried to install a hard drive to the laptop but seems to not fit and then when I tried to turn on the laptop it won't. When i plug the charger the led indicator of charging is on but when i try to turn on the laptop the power indicator just turns on for a second then turns off and the laptop won't turn on. I already tried removing the battery and holding the power button for one minute i also tried reseating the ram and nothing worked. Help me how to fix the laptop thank you

Is there a drive in there now or not ? And did u unplug anything else some laptops dont boot if smth is missing

i removed the hard drive and it still won't turn on now, and no i didn't unplug anything else
