Ft Hood shooting

There has been another shooting at Ft. Hood in Texas. Here are some details

 

FT. HOOD, Texas -- According to KCEN-TV, there are reports of an active shooter at Ft. Hood. The NBC affliate is reporting there are several injuries from the shooting. There is at least one patient being transported to the hospital, the station reported. The suspect is reported to still be at large. The shooter is said to be in building 33026 which is the Medical Brigade Building. The station emphasizes that this is a preliminary report. This news story will be updated once we learn more.

My thoughts go out to the families of the injured.

Fort Hood officials sent out a tweet asking all personnel to shelter in place. Everyone has been advised to close doors and stay away from windows. All students and personnel at Central Texas College have been ordered to immediately evacuate the central campus. The college has cancelled classes for the rest of the day.

TV station KCEN out of central Texas reports there are multiple injuries and the suspect is still at large.

One suspect in a 2011 or newer Toyota Camry 4 door. Male white, 180-200 lbs, armed with handgun.

Born and raised in that area, still have family that work as civilians on base at Ft. Hood. Just got off the phone with them & they made it home safe before all this crap started.

 

Killeen has had more than its fair share of shootings starting with the one at Luby's back in 1991, that one on post in 2009 & now this. Just terrible.
