Clock speed is really low in games, is that normal? How can i get the most out of my 5900x?

I have currently used the curve optimizer to get the most out of my CPU, but i noticed my clockspeeds are still low when playing games.

Is it normal to have an all core clockspeed of 3.5/3.7ghz on my 5900x while gaming?

Do i gain more performance by forcing a higher clockspeed in games?

How do i force a higher baseclock speed combined with curve optimizer?

Current CurveOptimizer settings:

PBO limits: Motherboard

Negative 30:

1,3,4,10,11,12

Negative 25:

5

Negative 20:

6,7,8,9

Max boost: 150MHZ

Scalar X1

Specs:

5900X

MSI x570 Unify

RTX 3080 Suprim X

H150i Elite Capellix

Phanteks P400A

DDR4-3733 14-14-15-14-30 250TRFC

4.8GHz (boost) for a 5900X is usually quoted for single core, not all core...

I frequently edit any posts you may quote; please check for anything I 'may' have added.

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

Seems very low to me. I am testing some new TIM atm. But things like games and 3dmark always shows top of the boost range. How hot are you getting?

My lowest load clocks come from Linpack Xtreme where it will ride a solid 4500MHz. But something lighter like OCCT and I see temps in the 70s and speeds of around 4750 or so.

I had tested it in rainbow six siege, the cpu was around 65-70 degrees.
