Extreme game lag and framerate drop in all games Windows 10

Hi,

I have been trying to troubleshoot this issue with my PC since the Windows 10 1803 update rolled out and not been able to fix that issue till today. Games and also Windows 10 UI stutter on transitions and extreme frame drops while gaming. I've tried Google for diff. solutions including clean memory cache, clean install, updating drivers and bios and Clean boot. Still haven't been able to identify the root cause of the issue. Has anyone encountered this issue and were you able to fix it? Please let me know.

My PC Specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5 3550

Motherboard: Asus P8B75-V

Ram: Adata 8GB 1600MHz single channel

SSD: WD Green 256GB

HDD: Seagate Baracuda 7200RPM 1TB

PSU: Cooler Master MasterWatt 550W

Thanks in advance

Have you tried to use DDU prior to doing a reinstall of your graphics drivers?

I have re-installed Windows 10 by completely erasing the drives.

What resolution are you running? That said, your pretty low on ram as well, 8GB SC bare minimum is not much for Windows to work with.

Try enable or disable HPET on both Windows and BIOS.

I am running games on 1080p. CSGO should be fine running but that too stutters. Even CS 1.6

Sorry, disabling HPET didn't help. Tried CSGO running at 1600x900 too. Still the issue persists

You're on the latest windows with all service packs and for everything the most current drivers?

Can you record this stutter with OBS or something?

Can you share the Drivers tab and sort it by Highest Execution?

Also are you on Raid setup? Did your BIOS set as Raid?

No. I haven't set it up in RAID.

The system was just assembled plain simple and used with the all the default profiles. No overclocking or RAID or any configuration.

1. How many peripherals connected to the USB?

2. Download CrystalDiskInfo and check if both your drive is ok.

3. Can you remove your GPU, use only iGPU and check if latency is still the same.

There are 2 USB devices connected at the moment.
1. Logitech Keyboard reveiver

2. Corsair wired mouse (iCue not installed)

CrystalDishInfo shows both are in good state and temps ~35C

The motherboard doesn't have HDMI or Display Port output to connect the monitor. The monitor(Samsung 24" CFG70) doesn't support VGA or DVI input.

Oof. Can you disable the driver via Device Manager(reboot if needed) and check if your idle latency is still as high?

I think you can re-enable the graphic.

Maybe you can DDU and use NVCleanstall to only install the display driver.

1. How you update your driver? via Windows Update? Asus website?

2. Can you try unplug your HDD?
3. Can you use different USB port for your KB&M? Also can you unplug one of them while gaming and see if it still stutters.
