Pretty difficult. A typical XBOX is a completely different form-factor than most PC's. It usually requires a bunch of cutting, drilling, and janky workarounds.

I would say it's not as easy as it looks, but it doesn't look easy at all. Even in the video they showcased how difficult and unnecessary the entire process was.

Hmmm. ok, it would be cool to have my sys in 1, No way to fit a SFX psu in, wonder if any internal PSU form factor would fit? Or if I can get a sandwich MB tray, is there enough hieght for a GPU under the MB?

They used SFF hardware in the video, and it was still an issue. It all technically fit... after they cut it up.

Plus, they also destroyed some valuable and collectable video-game history/memorabilia by doing so, it was an Original XBOX (Released: November 15, 2001).

The MB tray would have to be drilled into the chassis, and the GPU would likely have to be horizontally mounted using a PCIE riser-cable. Even if that was somehow made to work, thermals would be a disaster, and would require cutting more holes for ventilation.

**I doubt the XBOX's chassis is tall enough to fit a sandwich-layout system or even a GPU at all. A lot of those builds just use APU's.

Using that logic, an original NES from 1983 is worthless also. But a lot of collectors would disagree. 🙂

Idk about size of the OG xbox but FlexATX is quite small:
Best Flex ATX PSU for SFF PC, Mini-ITX Case & 1U Server Chassis

They go up to at least 500W as well. though you'd probably be better off with something like an HDPlex 400 and an external 330W dell brick if you're using <330W

why no dark mode?

Just because you don't see any value in the console doesn't mean it's by default worthless to everyone. I happen to own an OG Xbox myself, and it's one of my favorite consoles. Much better than the crappy DRM-ridden modern consoles with their online only games that will become unplayable once their servers are taken down. My OG Xbox games, however, will always remain playable as long as I have a working system.

I mostly speak from my own past experience from similar problems. My solution may not work for you, but I'll always try my best to help as much as I can. If you want me to see your reply, make sure to quote my comment or mention me @WaggishOhio383, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
