So when nvidia says rtx 3080ti will be released June 3rd… where?!

How do they usually release things? Is there a store I can camp outside of? Should I keep refreshing the nvidia website store?

it's a paper launch. they're all paper launches. 

if there is stock, nvidia's site would have the founders edition, and links to partner sites like best buy, amazon, etc. 

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

Assuming you're in the US, the only store you can actually camp outside of for a graphics card launch is MicroCenter. Best Buy always has graphics cards available for purchase on launch day, but always online.

No. NVIDIA no longer sells graphics card directly from their store.

They're still selling Founder's Edition cards (for now). They've just stopped selling them via their store after the abysmal 3080/3090 launch in September.

in the UK they sell them via Scan.co.uk but you have to go via the Nvidia site

yup i dont know how many, but likely  a "reasonable" amount.

I called my local Micro Center and they recommended arriving at 8am (2 hours before they open) and waiting. I’ll go and see what happens… I don’t see any Founders editions of previous cards on their website so I hope they have decent third party cards lol

The 3080/3090 was seen as a paper launch too but it wasn't as they were selling extreme amounts of units and were sold out day one. At best the same will happen here too.

But yeah good luck getting one, every retailer in our country has pulled 3090's & 3080's from their lists because they just can't stock them.
