Worth upgrading old laptop

So I have a cyberpower fang iii based off of the clevo p370em laptop still laying around and I'm trying to determine if it's worth upgrading the dual gtx670mx GPUs to gtx980m's.   Its got an 3rd generation i7 and 16 gb of ram.   I can get both cards for this laptop for around 500 bucks total on amazon.

What do you think.  Is it worth spending the money on this?   Mainly thinking about it for my daughter to be able to game with her dad.

My main laptop is a 9th gen i7 with an rtx2080maxq 16gb ram.

If the laptop will work fine with just one GPU in it, I'd probably go that route instead. SLI is well and truly dead at this point so a second 980M wouldn't really do a whole hell of a lot.

$500 for GPUs and mobile CPU from the time when mobile CPUs weren't yet even close to desktop CPUs (3rd gen is Ivo Bridge from 2012). Not worth it. Your laptop as whole now is hardly worth $500. Or rather, I wouldn't pay that much for it when I can get more with new laptop with Ryzen and Vega iGPU.
