can a aputure f7 be used as a key light.

Hi. I am looking for a light cause right now I dont have any. I also want something to go on my camera if I need it, but I saw the f7 and wandered if I could use it as a keylight too? I havent seen much people use it as a key light but you know I wanna know.

I have one and I think it can, if it's close enough to the subject, and isn't diffused too much, it's on the limit tho.

I mean it can for close up head shots or B roll of smaller objects, but don't expect it to be ideal for full body shots or like of larger object's like a ATV or whatever.

Take what I said with little bit of salt tho, because haven't used it too much yet.

“Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious. And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at.
It matters that you don't just give up.”

camera mounted and key light don't go together.
an on camera light is mostly for a bit more fill during a night shot.

I'd put an internal battery as a downside for most uses

I'd rather be able to swap the battery to keep using it during a long day
