It's a sandforce drive, so its bound to cause issues at some point. Just avod and buy a new drive from some other brand

Trim issues

broken encryption

bad performance with non compressible files

occasional bsods (these were mostly fixed, but can still happen)

reliability issues (mostly fixed)

I did. TBH there isn't any reliable source telling that every drive will fail after considerable time. There is some issues stated, most related with Intel SSDs. And furthermore those are really old ones (2012-early 2013). On same pages it was stated that most of them have since been fixed.

Now, can you give me name of SSD that will definetly last forever or however long you think reliable drive lasts? Evething will fail at some point. But I really need more proof that HyperX 3K drives are bad than you just saying it. Mine has worked fine for 7 months now.

I'm nost saying every sandforce is going to die (in most cases, it should work just fine) because this is impossible to predict, as for any controller really.

But im just pointing out the issues, that could accur, because they still haven't fixed them. I for one have two sandforce drives (well 3, if i count 1st gen) and both are giving me bsods, despite being updated to the latest firmware and bought 1 year apart. Its a hardware design bug (in the power logic) that wont get fixed in this generation. They are just patching the firmware to minimize the issues.

And lastly, if one is in the market for a ssd, hyperx 3k makes absolutly no sense, given the potetial issues mention above + its prices badly and competition crushes it performance wise and price wise. So yeah, unless its really cheaper than anything else, its just a pointless drive to buy right now
