Can i use the same specs RAM's but different brand with dual band?

Go to solution Solved by SupaKomputa,

From google search i see that the kingston use the same chip (micron), which means it's basically the same thing.

I have a RAM in my "Monster" laptop, u can see the one down in the link.. I actually don't even know if my motherboard supports dual band RAM combination buy hey, there is one more 260 pins RAM slot that is emty so...

I need an 8 gb of RAM upgrade. I can't buy it from my country so i decided to buy different brand with same specs, you can see in the link below..

Will this 8gb Crucial and 8gb Kingston Laptop RAM combination hurt my precious little gaming monster?

Thank you...

FYI to aid you in finding info, the term you're looking for is dual channel, not dual band.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Thank you guys for help it worked pretty well, well enough my graphics card actually doubled the speed.. I mean doubled frames rate i did not think it would be that effective.. I am having a little bit of overheating issue but i have solved that with optimising graphics settings in games.. I will change thermal paste and do some cleaning so that sohuld be fine..
