But it's not worth 100 bucks.

thanks for your answer. I actually bought the laptop with the xe graphics before reading this, and so far it is perfect. I looked at benchmarks and it seems the xe is better at geekbench opencl compute (which i belive is the important thing for video editing?) and as far as i can understand, the xe can use the system ram as vram, and since i have 16gb of system ram, it is just fine (maybe even better than mx350's 2 gb?)

whatever... it is doing everything i could have wanted from it basically

thanks to everybody for their support!

Hi,

the title pretty much sums it all, but i want to know the difference between intel iris xe that comes with the intel i7 1165g7 and the nvidia mx350.

I am not a gamer, and i have to buy a thin and light for travelling (hopefull that covid wiil and sometime), so a gaming laptop is not an option, even though it probably is a better bang for th buck.

However I do plan doing some light editing, and i want to have the best gpu performance possible.

So does the mx350 have a clear advantage over the intel iris xe, and is it worth an extra 100$? (I am not from the US btw, converted currency)
