What was your favourite Windows UI?

For me I'm going to say it was the windows vista UI.

Windows 10.

7 is nice and all, and XP is XP, but 10 is really easy to use.

It was functional, got out of your way, and you could skin it if that was your thing.

XP may be loved, but I find it a pain to change settings (like getting eathernet to work) Vista be Vista, 7 is nice, but having a settings app in 10 is nice, even though it doesn't work sometimes.

 

There is a argument to be made for ms-dos though.

Windows Vista.  What's the weirdest part when you connected an xbox controller you could control the whole PC with it, kind of like an Xbox or Playstation...  surprised this never took off, and even more surprised no one ever talks about this feature. you can kinda simulate it with Steam, but it's not  quite the same  with less  functionality.

 

Oh and side apps, Rainmeter , but good.

I always loved Windows Vista as the best one that I've used (XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10). The design was pretty cool imho.

Even if i use a mix of W10 and macos these days, i'll always remember windows 7 fondly, especially after i skinned it after thomas the tank engine. funny enough, i could find the image i use as the desktop if anyone is curious what it looked like.
