Allow "multiquote" to be shared between tabs without a refresh

WillOfTheLand

If this is even possible (I imagine it's a session/tab based thing but it can't hurt to ask)

I noticed this earlier, if you have say 2 tabs open of a thread, in one a previous page and another the latest page and you want to reply to something, you can't hit multi quote on one page and have it update on the other without refreshing first, and if you've typed a message that's got multiple quotes and text you've written inbetween all of them already, it can be quite tedious to have to copy/refresh/paste/fix formatting/put in quotes all over again.

Would it be possible to give "multi quote" it's own in site refresh you could manually trigger or just does on it's own every 30 seconds or so, to check if more quotes have been added?

Worked on Opera.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

If you add then remove a multiquote in the other tab, it should get the tabs in sync. Polling would be an option, but I can also imagine that being annoying if it doesn't poll very often (eg if you have to sit waiting for 30s for it to show up), and a waste of resources most of the time if it polls frequently. There may be a middle ground that is reasonable (eg when you switch tab), but I think this would need to be changed by IPS (forum software devs) and I would be surprised if they prioritise this, especially given that there is a workaround.
