What is my Motherboard?

2700K is one step up on the 2600K (a la 11700K vs 11900K) but yes, either way a CPU upgrade isn't really in the cards.

Hey everyone I really need help, when my uncle built my pc like 2 years ago he did not keep any of the boxes for the hardware. So i upgraded my gpu but I cant upgrade my cpu until I find my motherboard brand name and I don't know how to do it  without the box and I need this for me playing vr games without this i cant or it runs but there's a lot stuttering

 

right now i have in it is a 

CPU

    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2700K CPU @ 3.50GHz

    Base speed:    3.50 GHz
    Cores:    4
    Logical processors:    8

GPU

    Radeon RX 570 Series

    Driver version:    27.20.14527.2002
    Driver date:    1/18/2021
    Dedicated GPU memory    2.2/4.0 GB

Run CPU-Z and click on the Mainboard tab.

Screenshot what it reports.

 

Also, there is no 2700K. Do you mean the 2600K?

I can't tell you exactly without a picture, but given that it currently has a 2700K, it's likely compatible with most Intel 2nd and 3rd gen CPUs with the correct BIOS. Anything newer than that will not fit.

Keep in mind your CPU is already the best you can have in this motherboard (assuming you mean 2600K).

Easiest way to figure out the motherboard type is just by looking at it, specifically if you see any names placed on it or a sticker.

 

If you're unsure, please take a picture of the inside of the machine and we can probably figure out what motherboard it is.

There is indeed a 2700K. It's just not as common.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad
