Intake vs. Exhaust Fans

Spike8132

I bought a Cyberpower prebuild to get a 3070 for a decent price. It came with one pwm fan on the 120mm AIO cooler and 3 molex, low rpm, non-variable rgb case fans. I opted to swap out all the fans and fill the open slots with 8 new fans. 2 Push/Pull exhaust on the rear mounted AIO, 3 intake on the front, and 3 top mounted exhaust. This leaves me with 3 intake and 5 exhaust. Should I swap the front most top fan to an intake. Is that bad? Would it make a difference?

Honestly probably not,  but just try it out.

But generally I think more intakes is preferable,  but then again it will depend on the setup.

You could do top intake. But honestly, your GPU is the biggest issue still. I would say getting any top fans is waste of money.

The logic I have started to follow is to favor a positive/neutral case pressure. Having a negative case pressure is more likely to suck in dust through the "cracks" around side panels and case construction, any exhaust fans not running, any empty exhaust fan spots.

I keep putting cheap fans in the top of my case, and they keep dying lol, so I would agree with ^

Do you have a photo of your PC? In some cases, outtakes at the top will suck out the air that the front intake just pulled in.
