Some people say "just because it's hard doesn't mean it sounds good", and that may be true but I don't think it has any barring on this

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Yeah, I just never had that kind of exposure to pop-punk. It was never really that popular where I lived.

My first experience with anything even resembling pop-punk was in 2007, when a friend of mine dragged me to an MCR show.

Admittedly, that did introduce me to one of the greatest rock albums of the 2000's, but I never really sought out more.

Oh how much I miss MCR - those were the good old days of highschool angst.

The title reminded me of one of my favorite songs from Lorde “Green Light”.

That’s what happens when you marry that Nickelback guy as it turns out like the song below. ?

Yeah... don't get me wrong - I love Avril's early couple albums, but I agree that the stuff Kruger co-wrote is just... no.

When musical post-modernism is dead, the only thing left will be the sour sarcasm of Alex Cameron

Where is this in your ´80's revival, the 1975?

Not sure if I'm diggin' the vibes, but these music videos look like they're straight from the 1980's with their retro flair.

It is just a happy positive song, no?

Lots of Laszlo's stuff is like this - I especially enjoy Home featuring Richard Caddock...

Mind you that's because I absolutely loved the way Puppet & Murtagh fit his voice into Killing Giants.

And now for what I'm listening to... I'm a huge fan of continuous megamixes (when done right) and recently started listening to International Departures by Shane 54 to get my fix of Trance, House, and Progressive music blended together. Normally I'd link to the YouTube video but it unfortunately had its' audio muted because the music industry is still living under a rock from 1985 where they don't believe in collaboration unless they're on the receiving end of the sack of money.

I just enjoy that the lyrics being so self-aware that they come around again and become completely believable.

In the modern, nostalgia driven culture there's a place for remembering the ugliest, sleaziest and worst elements of that nostalgia. Which is not something enough people do.

I really do enjoy Alex Cameron's portrayal of a massive loser, that's resting on the laurels of his past and is completely unaware that he's a loser.

What I'm actually listening to

Nova doctrina terribilis sit perdere

Sometimes I sit and wonder what the crap I'm doing with my life.

This is one of those times.
