Is my PC powerful enough for a home server?

Hello there!

I managed to get an old office PC for free with 4GB of DDR3 RAM and an Intel Pentium G2020 (2 Cores, 2 Threads, @2.9GHz). I was wondering if this PC would be powerful enough to be used as a Plex server with Linux Ubuntu?

Thanks in advance

But now, fellow gamers, that was it for me. Please keep in mind, that this is just my personal opionion and I am no expert. Your system shall be cooled forever, see you next time.

Home servers don't need to be powerful. But they need to be power efficient unless you're willing to pay more money on the bills.

For Plex is good enough if you don't transcode the files.

There is a 240W power supply in it so it shouldn't use too much power. Thanks!
