1 sli is dead

2 the 3090 can barely run 8K

3 the 3090 only has 2 way sli

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

4K → 8K is four times the number of pixels

8K → 16K is four times the number of pixels

16K → 32K is four times the number of pixels

So going from 4K to 32K means you have 64 times (4x4x4) the number of pixels. This would require not only an insane amount of performance but also an insane amount of memory. As @HelpfulTechWizard said, SLI is essentially dead.

Could you do it? Maybe. I'm not sure if even 2x 3090 could run at that resolution (no matter the frame rate). Would it be practical? No. There's no sense going to 8K for most gamer let alone 16 or even 32K. This is mostly about bragging rights.

No. I don't know of any GPU that supports more than 4-way SLI. As @HelpfulTechWizard said, modern cards like the 3090 can at most do 2-way SLI.

no. Crossfire isnt a thing anymore (died with rx5xx I believe)

and 8 way sli was never a thing.
