Can't use all ram slots cooler master hyper 212 evo v2

Tazz 316

Cooler works great but i've lost two ram slots!

PC has the 3 fans in the front bringing air in and one in the back for exhaust fan.

Case is a fractal design meshify c that i picked up off facebook.

You do realize you can just pop the fan off the heatsink and put it on the other side?

Yes but will it be as good for cooling?

Right now it's pushing air through the heat sink.

I will try it just seems less effective if it is pulling air.

If you remove the fan from its plastic frame and maybe mount it using zip ties you might be able to free up that one slot and get your fan back into its proper position. Or grab another cooler that is offset.

Its not offset. Offset means that it leans towards one side more. The reason for higher temps is most likely that fan was blowing wrong way. Also, you can just lift the fan to make room for RAM.

Your RAM should be in the two grey slots.

actually it is offset to me. See the right side is larger than the left. I had it backwards. The heat pipes lean towards the left you don't really see it with the fan mounted.

Does not matter since all 4 are used again. 🙂

Was wondering if someone was going to notice that. lol

Jesus man... Thank you, truly; I was beating myself over this exact issue today and couldn't figure out the problem, it's pretty crazy something as important as this wasn't emphasized nearly enough in the manual which I had to recheck because I remember paying attention to how exactly was the logo at the top of the heatsink supposed to read after the install.

Turns out you were right, removing and resitting the cooler in the proper direction solved my problem; I just wanna thank you, I was about to go out and buy smaller ram kits for my pc; so you saved me money as well.

Thank you.
