The CPU won’t be a bottleneck in 80% of games.

yes, it will bottleneck. but then again, every cpu bottlenecks every gpu. whether the bottleneck caused by the 4790 and 1660 super will be ok, the answer is yes, it will be ok to combine them. the 4790 is slightly better than the 8100 and slightly less than the 8400.

my signiture was cool, but its a lie now

At 1080p yes, as you go up in resolution it would matter less as games become less CPU bound.

Should be a good match. Better than my pairing of an FX 8350 with an RX 5700.

CPU - FX 8350 @ 4.5GHZ GPU - Radeon 5700  Mobo - M5A99FX Pro R2.0 RAM - Crucial Ballistix 16GB @ 1600 PSU - Corsair CX600M CPU Cooler - Hyper 212 EVO Storage - Samsung EVO 250GB, WD Blue 1TB
