Hi there!

This is my first build with zero experience. I checked compatibility for the MSI GeForce GTX 1070 and ROG STRIX  B550-F motherboard/Corsair 4000D Airflow case. I have fitted everything Other than this Graphics card.

I have repeatedly tried to slot the card in but it will not click. I am afraid to press down much harder as I cannot see and I am sure I’ve not aligned the card properly.

When I aligned the screw on the left it rests slightly on the memory on the right side of the graphics card. Removing the base on the case would help so much to see, yet on stop down tutorials I haven’t found one that removes the case base.

Sorry for the dumb questions, this is embarrassing as hell. Do I pull back the graphics card clip before inserting? I’ve tried inserting with the upright too.

If anyone has info that could help I’d appreciate it very much 🙂

in the first picture there's still a protector over the pcie connector on the graphics card, i presume you took that off?

Do you mean the cover for the card ports? I’ve taken them off yesC4A41B90-82F9-4244-B620-7A6529E1C380.thumb.jpeg.7f1647fc501cec061daa843dbb198eab.jpeg

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

Ah stupid mistake, thank you.

Those fans should be better than the fan that came with my cpu. I ordered paste so buying one might be better than the pre applied pasted fan.

Also just to be sure I’ve wired this correctly? Apologies for the silly questions.

Push in the 2-pin connector (where there was an 8-pin slot) a bit more, otherwise all good!
