Can 240mm aio cool well a 10850k?

iCoNrant

I was getting a 10850k, I'm wondering is 240mm aio enough?

Keeping at stock and boost itself up

For only a CPU at stock speeds a 240 will be more than fine.

I've been running my OC 4690k off of a 240 for years and not had a problem.

At stock, a 240 is sufficient. If it's a good 240mm AIO you can definitely overclock, what cooler are you considering?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

far from a bad cooler. I would imagine you can manage a decent overclock, if you aren't in an extremely warm climate, and have good case airflow.

Apart from the fact that I find it strange you are using a Lian Li cooler with anything but a Lian Li case, there should be nothing wrong with that.

Good case + good cooler = cool CPU

Oh yeah, I'm not advocating that a PC should have the same cooler and case (after all I have a custom loop, which is as far from standard as you can be).

It's just that I see Lian Li as a premium manufacturer, and so probably wouldn't get their cooler if I didn't have their case. (Not that that it affects compatibility in any way).

I'm going for phanteks P500a in white because 4000d airflow just run out of stock in minutes always.

I'm thinking of buying their phanteks SK140 fans and what cooler should I be considering lian li or the ekwb aio?

Slight change of topic....

Mostly out of my own curiosity 🙂 hope you don't mind.

Any specific reason for why you are choosing an AIO ?

About 1 month ago I upgraded my PC with new GPU, case and CPU cooler.

My old setup was a Lian Li O11 Dynamic with Corsair 360mm AIO.

New setup Be Quiet 500DX with Noctua NH-D15S air-cooler.

My max temp dropped about 3-4°C (during Cinebench & Prime95 tests) with my new air-cooled setup.

CPU: i9 9900K   Cooler: NH-D15   RAM: Kingston Fury 4 x 8GB 3600MHz CL17   Mobo: ASUS ROG Strix Z390-F   GPU: ASUS 3080 TUF   Case: In Win D-Frame   PSU: Corsair HX850i   Storage: 250GB Samsung 970 EVO NVMe (OS), 500GB Samsung 970 EVO NVMe (Games), 2TB Crucial BX500 SSD (Storage)   Monitor: Samsung Odyssey Neo G9.
