you would call an Optiplex 7010 a gaming pc? wtf man not only that the psu in them are crap.

Have you owned one, have you actually tested the psu? I don't think so, I had mine running for over 2 years with a gpu and would you guess nothing happened. The PSU is fine, and you can make a gaming PC out of anything. It's stupid to say 'you would you call X a gaming pc?'. 2nd of all the IPC and per core performance of the w3670 is lower than the i5 3570, not to mention that it consumes at least double what the i5 does if not more while the example I mentioned of a 6 core only consume about 100W. Also you're limited to basically 6 core cpu's while the LGA2011-3 socket found on the X99 motherboard can take 8 core xeons and i7's. Additionally, right now on ebay, the cheapest Dell Precision T3500 is 95£ and the cheapest W3670 is 40£ which comes to about 200$ USD dollars.

the w3670 will beat the e52620.

First of all, user benchmark isn't a reliable source for benchmarks/comparisons, second of all you're comparing to the e5 2620 not the e5 2620 v3 which if you haven't noticed are very different.

w3670 vs i5 3470

Again, you're comparing the wrong cpu's, I clearly said i5 3570, and regardless, the w3670 has lower per core performance as I previously mentioned, not to mention, again, the power consumption.

if you go with an namebrand mb you can do over clocking on a lower cpu and get 4.0

if you go 'namebrand' you're paying 130$ for the motherboard alone, which is ridiculous considering you can get a good b550/b450 board for less. Again, this is the cheapest 'namebrand' x58 motherboard I could find on ebay. Additionally the prices that you're showing are from april/march of last year when there wasn't such a high demand, not to mention that not everyone want to overclock a cpu, especially a 130W one. I won't continue to argue since you can't seem to get the point.
