Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Making music, recording, downloading, maybe light gaming, 

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 120 hertz, 1440p, keyboard and mouse, headphones, amp(most music equipment). This will be the first pc we own.

A few things that I'd change:

1. Don't bother with the H510i. It's got horrible airflow.

2. Try and get 3600 CL16 instead of CL18.

3. Do you really need an NH-D15?

You are overpaying for the 1660S by a huge mairgain, if you want to do that you will regret that so much in a couple of months (maybe weeks)...

 

Me and others, highly recommend waiting for the stock crisis ease up and buying a 3060ti.

 

I also included a 2nd monitor because it will be much easier to create music like that.

Ok so if we got a new desk of the same parameters without the little above shelf thing, we would have plenty of room for the monitor+pc, but can't have ANY extra monitors without wall mounting which he said he wants to try to avoid,
