Some sort of method to use old CSS and theme ?

RTX 3090

Just went through archive.org and realised how much better the old version looked. It made me wonder if it is somehow possible to use some sort of extension to insert custom code and add the old CSS back in again, to give it the old look

Just some suggestions for the design :

  • Maybe create an extra theme called something like classic and import the old theme back in
  • The striped colours (some white some slightly grey) for the items in the hub etc look a lot better then the current verison
  • Slightly reduce radius of the corners

I'm sure Mortis will give the more official reply. But IIRC the whole UI has changed so much that old stock theme would be immensely broken if just put on top of current code.

I do agree on striped colors with items and threads. But when beta testing was going on, my opinion was in minority.

It's not possible to support the old theme because it's incompatible with the current version of the forum software, and most of the changes made to the theme were made as part of updating the theme to work with the new version of the forum software.
