Hello anyone else noticed in hzd that grass or vegetation is like flickering or something like that when moving around. This is vid but it cant be seen rly well i think it is best to watch on left side of screen.

I'm willing to bet it's just TAA freaking out a bit. Depending on the implementation, it can look like utter garbage on foliage with as much shading as that grass.

Wait its a normal thing? You cant rly see it much when recording with ps4 shareplay or somethinf like that most of yt videos you cant see it either

If it doesn't show in captured video then it'd be something your display is doing, like some excessive over-sharpening in game mode if it's a TV.

It is a tv and i cant see it in vid. You suggest turning down sharpnwss?

That's where I'd start. If you can set the input to be a PC input that might help, seems like that's usually just game mode but less bad.

Ah i have a laptop not pc il try turning down sharpness.

nonono the device doesn't matter. Some TVs (like my ~9 year old Samsung for example) have a Game Mode and then a PC (or for the HDMI1 port, PC/DVI) option for input settings. Usually they just have less nonsense compared to the straight-up game mode.

Hmm i did tone down sharpness down and it seems like its gone or just reduced to where i cant clearly see it that much but i forgot to note that it stops flickering like that ehen i stop moving or close in on where it flickers.

I mean from what I can tell with the compressed video it's not as bad, but you kinda have to be your own judge on if you think it looks better or not.

Seems like putting tv to general instead of game mode fixed it completely. Dont have pc like you do but general helped. I habe sony bravia kdl40w605b and it seems like game mode makes only picture better or in this case worse no lag beetween controller and tv. Thank you for the time
