Hideinpit

Budget (including currency): 1200€ ~

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:  Mostly new games @ 1440p

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

ill reuse my 5700 xt until prices of new gpus normalize and i can buy a 3070

Since im not that experienced is my Build balanced or would u change something ?
i searched for like 2 hours and couldnt find anything clear about the cooling, i want to overclock it to 5ghz

Go 5600 or 5800 instead of 10700. Gen 4 PCIe is going to be very neccesary as more and more products are taking advantage of it. And 5000 series is just a beast.

You can wait for 1 more month for rocket lake I assume?

The 10700K isn't that great of a choice for gaming only, you can get a 10600KF and overclock it. It will equal or surpass an overclocked 10900k in most games if properly OC'd. It is also currently 200% more performance per dollar in my country compared to a 5600x.

That PSU does not seem like a good long-term investment in a gaming build with a future 3070 and overclocks going on, perhaps a 750W or 850W variant would work best. Warning, the CPU / motherboard would work best with an 8+4 pin connector, which is NOT present in all PSUs. Checking required.

Have you checked to see if there is a 360 AIO variant? Overkill or not, sometimes the difference is less than 10 euros between 240mm and 360mm, for me it's less than 10e to upgrade from 360 to 420mm.

The gigabyte motherboard is not that great, a great price to performance ratio would be the Asus Tuf Z590-Plus, it should at most be 50 euros more than the gigabyte one but it's quality should be well worth it. The Z590 chipset should be compatible with 10th and 11th series CPUs too. If you get an 11th series CPU you will also take advantage of PCIe gen4, which albeit makes no real difference in games is still a plus for the future.

i really want to buy one now as stupid as it sounds i dont really care if i can get something better in a month or two,

is the 10700k or the 5600x the better choice right now ?

Since you have the GPU to reuse you might as well go for a 5800x as the price for it in Germany is actually a couple of Euros below the msrp and has an advantage over the 10700k in multi-tasking. The Dark Rock pro 4 is a better cooler and it is cheaper plus it will be fine for overclocking, I left money in the budget for your GPU upgrade further down the line but the 5700xt will be pulling its weight in games for a fair bit longer so you should be able to pull together the remaining money for it until the 3070s return to normal prices and stock. I also put in a better case and a bigger wattage PSU for that 3070. You also don't need 32GB of ram for gaming so don't waste money there, i also went with 3200mhz as the 3600mhz kits seemed to be 30-40 Euros more which imo isn't worth it (go for it if you want to as it is the sweet spot for ryzen cpus atm).

Your case is overpriced for what it is and the airflow is pretty bad in the h510 series overall. Go with another normal SSD if you want to i just thought you might want to save the money there. Here is the PSU.

I wouldn't get a 5800X for gaming even, I'd build with the 5600X with the 3070.

Here is what I'd build for the price. I am a big SFF guy, so I made a list for you with an 8.2L Ghost S1 (it'll fit the 3070 FE no problem). It is an expensive case though, so you could go for a 5800X + an NR200 instead of the 5600X + smaller case.

Or just go for the 5600X + NR200 and save money

Current System: Ryzen 7 3700X, Noctua NH L12 Ghost S1 Edition, 32GB DDR4 @ 3200MHz, MAG B550i Gaming Edge, 1TB WD SN550 NVME, SF750, RTX 3080 Founders Edition, Louqe Ghost S1
