Windows XP and windows 7 dual boot failure (can only boot from XP partition)

Ok so I Decided to add xp to a separate partition on my windows 7 pc, It installed and works fine but there is a small problem... I cant boot windows 7, Its not giving me the option to boot from it. The windows 7 partition is fine all the files are still there so is windows its just I cant boot windows 7 only xp, PLEASE HELP ME!!!

And also I setup a different partition for windows xp, no windows 7 files were overwritten, although I did install them on the same hardrive...

Use the Windows 7 installer to fix it:

Pretty sure you need to install XP first, then 7. WIndows XP has no idea what Windows 7 is, while Windows 7 will be backwards compatible.

Thats the guide I used to dual boot, it failed

Try using the Windows 7 installation disk to repair, like @Vishera is suggesting.

But there is one small problem, windows is associating the master drive as the xp partition, not the windows 7 partition

Make a bootable USB drive with the Windows 7 installer on it.

Pretty sure you can download it from Microsoft with your license key.

My liscense key wont work on the MS website

I was gonna use it for experimenting

I do know it but whenever I try it just says invalid license number

I'd recommend just using it in a Virtual Machine in that case, if you don't specifically need physical hardware for whatever you're doing.

A virtual machine is safer for experiments with different operating systems.
