Old Corsair VS 450 (Orange label) - can it power GTX 1060 6GB?

Filingo

I found an old VS 450, is it safe to power a GTX 1060 6GB? For my uses it draws about 110 watts

Thanks!

You "found" it?

That's a pretty old PSU.  I wouldn't bother using it.

I used VS450 for around 3 years before changing to CX450.

Haha yes in an old computer in the garage. Right now that's the only one I can use until I get a new one. Do you think it is safe to run it? Or it is one of those PSUs that if it dies it takes everything with it? I know today Corsair PSUs are good, but I have no idea about the old VS 450 orange one, what do you say?

You switched because it died or you were just afraid to use it? Or anything else?

No because it's risky? i.e. fire / or damage to other components?

Holy... It says "Potentially dangerous in multiple scenarios" - any idea what scenarios they're talking about? I guess I won't be using it after all 😷

I just want a new one, since the warranty is over. Only 3 years. I still have it for backup.

its Df and group regulated with old platform, so that is very bad. can be dangerous in multiple scenarious. I would not even bother to chece the voltage ripple.
