Quick, give me Pro Tips for COD Warzone!!?

I suck at anything first person - and outside of James Bond on N64 I don't think I really understand them... I get its a pretty competitive game, so I just want some tips how to git gud, and more importantly how to not get killed all the time lol...

I need some general strats, and how the game even works, are you in squads or is it everyone for themselves, etc...?

And quick please, if possible, it's downloading... doesn't take long.

I suppose there's no single player? I'd prefer that tbh (free version)

Basically I just want to use this as a sort of benchmark, but I don't want to suck while counting fps... -.-

You can do both. When in squads, there obviously is some teamplay involved regarding reviving each other and such.

There is a practice mode, which is on limited parts of the map vs. bots.

The full Modern Warfare game does have a single player campaign, but that is of course paid.

I've played a bit of Warzone and it's a pretty fun game - coming  from someone who does enjoy an fps game every once in a while. I'm not too good at it though and I thought it always kinda sucked to play for 20-30 minutes just to get shot in the back.

When it does go right, it's a great feeling though.

I haven't played the game in a good couple months though, as I just got tired of it and realized I just kinda missed the Call of Duty gameplay of years ago and Warzone didn't fit that craving.

There really isn't a get guy quick tip for anyone who is starting to play first person shooters with little experience. For the most part what you want to do is create a sensitivity that works for you and practice. In general you want a sensitivity that is low but too low. Somewhere around being able to do about a 360 without picking up the mouse is what alot of people prefer but there are some who only care about being able to do a 180 without lifting the mouse. As for in game I would say that you should avoid crowded drop zones if you don't want to die all the time.

hmm, I see... oh there's a practice mode... that's good...!

I really need a feeling for the mechanics otherwise this isn't going to go well I feel...

And yeah, I agree, it looks and 'feels' great... idk most fps games make me sick just watching (camera and stuff) but this looks good... the movements make 'sense'  and I'm really just curious how it plays, and 'feels'

#DUALSHOCK 4 CREW REPRESENT!  👀

Well the guy I watched moved fast, but I didn't see any 360 'scoping' it was more of a tactical play, like he knew the maps really well and stuff...

he barely got killed, and kept killing ppl, that's obviously what you want, heh.  but I get what you're saying, I guess. 🙂

As someone who likes to play competitive fps games i will say that decision making skills, tactics and good movement helps but that is if you are decent at aiming. I guess with a controller it is less of an issue as you have aim assist but you still have to be able to shoot people. Also in my experience good game sense takes awhile to learn unless you have played similar games so there would be no way to teach someone that quickly as its far more complicated and without a simple answer. You would have to answer what to do in every possible situation and the best decision might be different based on your skill level. For example pushing an enemy from the front that is better at aiming than you is a bad idea but if you are better than them then it could be the right decision as you can catch them off guard and kill them quickly. Playing agreesive generally works very well when you are better than your opponent while if they are better than you Playing conservative is better. Also this is generally to an extent. If you play way to aggressive then you can be beaten even by an opponent that is much less skilled than you mechanically. But you sorta have to get a feel for what you can get away with and try to play to the maximum if you want to be really good. Its called limit testing.

Right, I know it takes practice... I just wanted some quick tips... for example what's 'mount' and how do I do it? I'm pressing L2+R3, that's as far I remember how it works but doesn't do anything... but aside from that I wonder generally should I always mount my weapon and only unmount for targets farther away like they say, or is it better to always mount - definitely games sometimes bullshit you with this stuff...

is there a point in melee attacks... stuff like that - from playing the first training it's pretty clear the controls aren't easy.... there's just a lot of stuff with markers etc...

should I stick to one weapon or doesn't matter.... which weapon is the noob friendliest...

Stuff like that would help cause I literally have no idea lol

My advice is for you, as a new player, is to wait till the last moment before you jump from the plane at the start.

That way you can land somewhere without having to worry about being shot in the back.

You can then move around, albeit cautiously, and loot relatively unmolested.

This will allow you to (hopefully) find at least one good weapon - or maybe even find enough cash to call in a supply drop (assuming you have any customisable loadouts at present that are worth calling in).

If you are using a buy station always watch your back and go prone, and if you call in your loadout make sure you move into cover while you wait for it.

The amount of times I've been killed as I'm accessing my loadout drop is too many to count.

Once you've geared up, and my advice is to try and use an assault rifle and something long range like a sniper or marksman rifle, and you have enough chest plates for full armour and some spares in case you get into a firefight and lose some armour, you can begin to move towards the circle (if you landed outside it) or stay plotted up if you landed inside.

Move with caution, sticking to walls and avoiding open ground if at all possible.

Once you are able to find a good place to sit and be patient, do so.

This will allow you to listen, to watch the map, and try to get an understanding of where there is any action, if there's a sniper anywhere etc...and eventually you will use these visual and audio cues to your advantage.

Gradually, you'll gain confidence and you can the start to attack people and even drop in with other players and take the fight to them.

But, initially, my advice would be to sit and just wait for the circle and mop up any stragglers.

However, it's each to their own and there is a lot more to pick up and if you want more detailed advice just ask me or someone else, mate.

*snip*

I see, that's sounds like some good advice, thanks...

And yeah, I see it takes practice. I've played the training 3 times now - it's super easy obviously and I keep 'winning' lol... but I struggle more with the controls than with the enemies for sure haha

One question... So generally there's always a 'map'? I didn't see that in the video I watched - either I missed it or there wasn't one or player turned it off -  point is it annoys me so much, I want to concentrate on the actual gameplay and not a mini map lol, but I know full well, since it's there, people will use this to their advantage...

EDIT: oh I see other players are only visible when they shoot - I suppose - seems standard for this kind of game, I still don't like it, it makes it far too easy and 'gamey'... oh well maybe there's a 'tough guys without map' mode?  😅
