It really depends on what type of game you want to make.  If you're looking at making your standard run of the mill FPS type game Then go with Unreal Engine.  if you're looking to make more of a 2D pixel art or even a platformer then go with Unity.  Both engines these days now have visual scripting support.  I would suggest though watching a few vidoes on youtube that compared the differences between the two.
