Help Me - Computers Explained YouTube Series!

Hey there. I have a YouTube channel and I would love to help the people of the internet in understanding computers more in an easy to understand way, sort of like Linus's TechQuickie channel. I would love if you guys could give me suggestions for topics of each video. I plan to call the series "Explained".

For example: "Explained: What is RAID?"

Thanks so much I appreciate it.

I will post my channel on here once I get an episode out, as my channel is mostly games and I don't want to disappoint anyone or drive them away instantly.

P.S. you will be credited in the video if I use your idea.

I WILL BE USING AS MANY SUGGESTIONS AS POSSIBLE, PLEASE TRY NOT TO DUPLICATE OTHER PEOPLES SUGGESTIONS. I WILL PUT A LIST OF THE SUGGESTIONS I AM USING BELOW!

Suggestions list updated daily.

Suggestions To Be/Already Used:

- "Explained: What is RAID?"

- "Explained: SSD vs HDD" - Submitted by EthanMcL

- "Explained: Moore's Law - The Future of Computers" - Submitted by Kamina

- "Explained: Overclocking and How to Safely Do It" - Submitted by Shd0w2

- "Explained: Intel Processors - i3 vs i5 vs i7"

Does not having a second parenthesis around something bother anyone else as much as it does me? (Like if this statement was missing a second side)

Make it all scientific and how traditional processors today could be different in the future. Could be like a special video.

For a moment, I thought you were this guy: http://www.youtube.com/user/explainingcomputers

and I was wondering 'Holy crap, he joined LTT?'

But I guess that's not the case.

Just going to let you know, it's kinda against CoC to advertise your YouTube channel....

Here's one, how does RAM work :P

As long as he isn't linking his channel or anything is he really going against CoC? :P

It's fine until he starts advertising his channel, asking for likes/subs, etc. If he's providing informational videos that the community to use, that is very welcome.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

Put yourself in the shoes of your audience and go from there.

Are you targeting people with 0 knowledge? Then maybe part names, what they do and where they go.

Are you targeting people with some basic understandings? Then maybe what is raid, or what is an ssd and how it's faster.

Maybe you want more advanced users, it's up to you really.

We are all here to help each other have a better experience with our computers and other tech. There is nothing wrong with someone sharing his tutorial videos.

If I was Linus I'd be reading this thinking "Fuck you man, come to my forum and ask people how best to copy my TechQuickie channel."

But I'm not Linus and am irrelevant, so carry on.

Yes because no one else on YouTube has explained something related to a computer before, Linus is the only one, right? Fuck me for helping people, I'm such a dick!

That wasn't my point at all, I was presenting a hypothetical situation and nudging you for coming to another youtuber's forum and asking his resident community for assistance in competing with him, I consider that a bit of a piss take personally.

However, like I wrote in my post, I'm not Linus and therefore what I think is irrelevant, so you could have just ignored my post altogether, one of the mods has already said what you're doing is fine.

I want to be clear, I was not having a go at you for making the videos, or because of their content, I also wasn't being overly serious hence the lolface.

This thread isn't my only thread/posts on the forum lol. You suggest that "coming to another youtuber's forum and asking his resident community for assistance in competing with him", when I actually use this forum. I'm not gonna argue on because that just leads to nonsense, but I disagree with your statements.

I just wrote my opinion, I expected you to disagree with it to be honest. I agree that continuing this will lead to nonsense so I'm dropping it too.

Good day to you sir. :)
