Ryzen 5600x reaching 76°C under load.

Hey guys, im a bit worried that i am frying my cpu.

I used to get 55°C max under load with this cooler on my old cpu (ryzen 5 2600).

 

Should i upgrade the fans or get a new cooler? I am thinking of getting these fans(https://www.pazaruvaj.com/ventilatori-c3094/arctic/p12-120mm-1800rpm-acfan00118a-p438489636/) as a replacement, will it work?

76C is perfectly fine. When it is running under 95C it is fine.

Could be various reasons to why that happens since I don't know how good that cooler is, maybe it has coverage issues due to the way it's built, maybe there isn't enough mounting pressure. Regardless 76C is good.

I am really used to keeping my rigs under 60 C, im guessing that this cpu has been a big upgrade for me. Never have i ever seen something bump up so much, last time i saw something work with such degrees was an r9 290 back in the day.

My 5600X also gets to 73°C under a custom water loop when running a stress test. It's normal and perfectly fine.

I used a 6 month old thermal paste that i had left over, should i try to reapply?

Alright, then im just being paranoid, but if i buy 2 metal fans (cuz this cooler has good heat pipes, but awfully looking fans), will i get better thermals?

Not really, temperatures are good, and it's very far from overheating. It could just be some AMD technology like PBO or whatever. But yeah, no need to worry about it.

remember. killing a cpu with temperature is really hard. when it geths over 100C or 105C system will shutdown to prevent damage.

Only "easy" way to kill your cpu is to run it with high voltage 24/7

That's not a bad cooler, if your 2600 is 60c, 5600x should be around 65-70c (it should be the same heat class).
Try reseat the cooler.

That only depends on the quality of the new fans. But like the others also said, there's no real point in going for lower temps. Your temps are completely fine, in spec and as expected.

Then again, this pretty much only possible when done on purpose. All OC-cabable BIOS will warn the user from too high voltage. (Warning message or colored numbers)
