So, i wanted to upgrade my motherboard and my processor (wich is 2nd generation), then i was wondering if it is better to upgrade it to socket 1150 MOBO and 4th generation processor or wait till the next generation.

Because I`m planning on upgrading it in december this year

Whats your Budget?

I got some money, lets say, for processor and MOBO, arround 900 dolars

If your going to build/buy the parts in december, plan in december or november. Prices fluctuate and new things are coming out. It would be best to wait for them to come out and decide then.

Upgrading in December? Come back when that time comes around then.

Something you both should know is i need some planning, because i dont live in the USA and i have to travel there to buy it, and planning a trip is never that easy, cause its expensive too

Plan later, many, many things will have changed by then.

Where are you located?

Im located at Brasil, thats why I need to buy it in the USA, otherwise, the price would be at least doubled, if not tripled (that is for all eletronics here) for example a GTX 780TI costs about 1500 dolars here

???

why would you travel somewhere to buy something?

it will cost you more to travel than to pay for shipping

just buy whatever you need from newegg or ncix and ship internationally

save you time and money

Unless you're already planning on going to the US for a vacation or whatever, that's just wasting money because you'll be spending more on the trip + computer parts instead of just buying them in Brazil.

You are wrong. I always travel, one time for year at least, i would travel just to buy something. And buying it on the internet would cost me 200% taxes + shipping, and i dont think thats really wise when i can wait 1 year to buy it

so when are you planning to buy the parts?  if you're planning to buy in december, then its far to early to plan it right now.  by december we'll prolly have the next gen of nvidia graphics cards and intel cpu's.  not sure on the amd cpu's but prolly nothing new on the gpu side...  so unless you plan on buying within a month or so, the advise you see new is prolly irrelevant, it'll be irrelevant in december for sure

Either the cost of travel has gone down dramatically or what, but traveling to buy something does cost more. Let's say you want a round trip flight from Rio to JFK and back, that'll cost you almost $1,700. The price of a 780 Ti there. Don't forget that if you want to buy the card here you're tacking on $700 onto the price of the flight. Again, unless something has changed and you're going to the States regardless of wanting to buy something, it would be cheaper to buy it in Brazil.

Actually thats not illegal, you have a maximum ammount of money you can buy in eletronics (500 dolars), and when you get in the country you may or may not be stopped by a federal police agent that will check your baggage and see if you have gone over that max ammount of money, if you did, then you gotta pay
