Hi,
Hope everyone doing well.
I wanted ask a question, why AMD isn't producing enough 5900X????
Local retailer are using this advantage and selling it for 850$ such in Bangladesh. This is insane.
If this keep happening, people will swich to intel from AMD. I was waiting for this processor for such a long time. But it doesn't really worth to buy a 549$ processor with 850$ at all.

Can anyone tell me the reason?

If AMD could produce more stock they would, they want to sell more chips far more than you want to buy one I assure you. Between production shut downs, manufacturing stress derived from new consoles and GPU, shipping and logistics issues and the demand being super high its just a real crappy time to try to buy some computer hardware right now

This isn't AMD fault, they rely heavily on the fab - TSMC which handles most of the chips from consoles to phones (apple too).

They also have obligations to produce chips for Xbox and PS5 which uses the same zen3 cores.

So TSMC has a lot on their hand.

Well it's pretty normalize in most countries (except usa).
What you have in your country i guess the sellers are marking up the price as the demand still high (chrismas / new year).

Wait a month or two.

TSMC (the main supplier for AMD chips) can't get any raw resources at this moment and time, mostly because country's like Germany are still in lockdown where the raw resources come from. That means that production is not 100% and to add on top of that is AMD ofc not the only manufacturer that needs chips from TSMC....

you don't even need a new processor, it's just slightly better than previous version which can be had for dirt cheap now.

And no people won't go to Intel because of that because they know this.

I pre-ordered one for a fairly good price...hope it will arrive soon.

look at what I said though... (previous version)

so $500 for a 7% gain?  Oof.

Even your 2600...

over 500 bucks *more* for 16%?

This is *not* a major upgrade (you won't even notice a difference most likely) more like throwing money out of the window... but of course you're free to do so - I was just asking, why?  T_T

That is assuming you Trust Userbenchmark, which you should not.

There is a lot more that goes into performance and this doesn't show anything.

Tell my tale to those who ask. Tell it truly; the ill deeds along with the good, and let me be judged accordingly.

Thats true and I don't trust ub, but that's the one thing they're usually accurate, especially with mainstream stuff I found it rather accurate, at least in gaming performance.

Gaming in 1080p in some games you can get 20+ fps extra just by using a different cpu, that's great.

It use to be an Intel advantage, but unlike intel where generation jump is single digit.

I dought you have enough knowledge about this kind of staffs. this site is a complete trash and it just promotes Intel.

Watchout this... i am not gonna compare 2600X with 5900X...Just see the result of 2600X vs 5600X...LOL

This build is not for gaming. For productivity.

either way, ub is actual pretty good at finding certain things, ram, hard drives... what it's not so good at is stuff like gpu and cpu...

And, yeah, these new AMD CPUs are lousy "upgrades" for the most part, amd is actually kinda pulling an Intel here, doesn't mean you should go intel, but also don't fall for they hype culture, there would be cheaper, reasonably similar amd cpus, available and, well, actually cheaper! 😄
