6 core cpu is only using 2 cores

I just got the ryzen 5 3600, which is supposed to have 6 cores, and it's only showing 2 cores on the task manager and cpu-z. Could somebody please help? Thanks!

edit: an hour later I got “the blue screen of death” this is really bad. I’m going to try reinstalling windows.

You might have to go into your BIOS and manually activate the extra cores this first time. It's not hard at all, a quick youtube video guide is enough to show you.

edit: could you provide screenshots of cpu-z and task manager?

I checked and it says that all cores are being used.

Check Msconfig Advanced Boot Option if you accidentally limit your CPU cores.
