If this is an old PC, you must have upgraded to that solid-gold ATX case 😛

That is true if you have the original packaging, if you don't its better to sell the PC as a whole. A heck of a lot less hassle too IMO (without the boxes).

I always keep the boxes for the RAM, GPU, MOBO and CPU. I don't bother with drives and fans, those I run till they die. Its not much hassle selling those when you have the boxes, in fact its very easy!

I also keep peripheral boxes in case of need to return but throw them once I know I am keeping them until they die. At the point they need replacing they are best given away free.

Well, why is it "old"?

Cause someone probably told him it was outdated.

You could add some hard drives and have a NAS running at your home that could backup everything in your house...

I use my old rig as bedside rig

Now I game on it more than my main rig, which have literally 3x the performance lmao

Never underestimate the gravity of a bed

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Hmm, so like your second rig is sort of like a basement gaming rig?

Make sure to quote me if you want me to respond

Well you can sell it, is a good mid-range game rig,  or just keep the SSD (500 gb ssd is pretty expensive here) and RAM as backup if your current rig is compatible with it, and sell the rest as a combo or one by one

You could try using it as a VM/docker server, PLEX server or NAS. You could also just sell it's parts.

Lots of parents or even adults in general would want to buy it. Its a very decent build even by todays standards and would fair well in most modern games too. Not everyone has the money to chase expensive builds, most people look for a mid-range gaming build just like this.

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3D  GPU: EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 ULTRA  MB: MSI B550-A PRO  Cooler: DeepCool AK620  Drives: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB, 970 EVO 1TB

If you haven't sold it yet, you could mine on it with salad.io.
