I would rather just wait until they release a 1080p version then ruining my 300$ kit.

Real programmers don't document, if it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.
I've learned that something constructive comes from every defeat.

Well what if you don't have it? I'd rather buy the 1080p version when it comes out than mod a 720p one. Actually what about a 4K Oculus Rift, that'd be so awesome.

Yes but I'm just implying if you don't have it already.

Is the price of the 1080p version confirmed?

I dunno about cheaper... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Oculus-Rift-Full-HD-Kit-1080p-Convert-your-developer-kit-to-FHD-/171266166505?pt=US_Other_Video_Game_Accessories&hash=item27e0424ee9

Although, if someone wants to volunteer and buy it and give me the component list, I bet I can find everything for under $100, its probably this LCD: http://www.ebay.com/itm/for-LG-E980-E985-F240-L-04E-Optimus-G-Pro-5-5-LCD-Display-Screen-Repair-Part-/171265723581?_trksid=p2054897.l4275

no but i highly doubt its going to be cheaper than this upgrade kit.

Edit: its actually not its more which is insane but as the guy said above me i bet u could buy the components your self for a ton cheaper.
